How do I know if I have to go to DUI School?
Risk Reduction is required by the state of Georgia for all persons convicted of DUI,
Drug possession and some other violations before you may reinstate your license.
When do you have to be pay for the assessment / class?
The student will be required to pay $75.00 for the assessment at the time he/she takes the assessment. The class and book fee of $205.00 must be paid prior to attending the class. Seating is limited so enroll and pay fees in advance so you will be guaranteed a seat.
How long after I complete the assessment do I have to enroll in school?
The assessment is good from one year from the date you completed it.
What if I have two DUI's?
Students can usually attend Risk Reduction one time for two DUI's. However, second offenders must obtain a list of Clinical Evaluators from the DUI School. You will be required to see an Evaluator for further information about Multiple Offender requirements.
What is an Ignition Interlock and do I have to get one?
An ignition interlock consists of a hand-held device that analyzes a driver's blood alcohol level before the vehicle can be started. Some multiple offender and habitual violators must have this installed to comply with Georgia law.
